Are you looking for work that inspires you and allows you to live the life you dream of? There are a lot of great jobs out there, but few careers can both inspire you and pay you handsomely enough to live out your dreams.

Too often the life we end up living bears little resemblance to our childhood dreams or teenage hopes. Getting a good job, paying the bills, washing the dishes and taking out the trash takes the place of the great accomplishments we dreamed our life would be filled with.
Many people wake up to this fact when they reach their forties and have a mid-life crisis. Often that crisis is about realizing they feel trapped -- living lives they would never have consciously chosen. Traveling on a long path that does not inspire them of taking their breath away by climbing up a pyramid.

But life does not have to end up making you feel like you hate Monday mornings. If you dream of going to the opening nights of Broadway plays, there are jobs which supports that. You don't have to be the star of the show ... you can work in New York City as a journalist, hotel concierge or in theater security for example.
And working at a job that inspires you does not mean that you must give up modern life -- college, marriage, home ownership, children, promotions, family vacations, putting the kids through college, retirement and travel. Or starve.
